We originally only wanted to have a civil wedding. Because the authorities in Mauritius unfortunately did not act as promised in spring 2024 and my papers were not approved by the Prime Minister’s Office, we had to come up with an alternative plan.

We both have birthdays on January 4th, which is why we wanted to celebrate our wedding on that day. The restaurant was booked, many guests from Austria had already booked their vacation, and a postponement was not possible anyway. So we started looking for someone to hold a symbolic wedding for us.

We then found Theresa through a Facebook group. The first contact via Messenger was uncomplicated, there was an initial phone call and then a first meeting.
We liked each other immediately and after a short period of consideration we decided to book Theresa for our symbolic wedding.

We were not disappointed. The coordination for our special day was simple and uncomplicated. Then on the day of the wedding she performed a wonderful wedding ceremony and then guided us through the entire wedding program. She kept asking us throughout the day if we were having fun, and if she should do anything for us.

It was simply brilliant and I think she really enjoyed the wedding herself.

If anyone is planning a symbolic wedding in Mauritius, we can only fully recommend Theresa.
